It’s time for another update on our mission to build the ultimate karaoke experience. In our first progress report, we shared the blueprints—the foundation of our platform with core dashboards and essential features. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve moved from building the framework to bringing it to life.

The last several months have been dedicated to connecting the pieces, turning our static dashboards into a dynamic, interactive system. We’ve been wiring up the technical magic behind the scenes, and we’re excited to share the major milestones we’ve hit.

What We’ve Accomplished: Connecting the Show

Our primary focus has been on creating a seamless, two-way flow between the KJ’s command center and the live event. We’re thrilled to announce that this digital handshake is now fully functional.

• A Working Songbook: The KJ Songbook Manager is no longer just a place to store songs; it’s a live, searchable database. This connected songbook is the central hub for the entire system, enabling faster event setup and smoother show management.
• A Functional Event Manager: The KJ Event Manager is now fully operational for scheduling. You can create, manage, and now, with our connected systems, truly run a live event.
• The Live Singer Rotation: We’ve built a functional and dynamic singer rotation. The KJ’s front-end dashboard now displays a live queue that they can manage in real time. This isn’t just a static list; it’s the core of the show.
• A Connected KJ Workflow: The KJ can now perform core event actions in a streamlined manner. The ability to manually add a singer and select their song directly from the connected songbook is a huge step forward, laying the groundwork for live song requests from singers themselves.

What’s in the Works: Adding Flair and Control

With our core systems now communicating, we’re expanding on this success to add more power and flexibility for our KJs.

• Custom Playlists: We’re currently developing the ability for KJs to create custom playlists from their songbook. This will allow for special events—think 80’s night, rock anthems, or a country music showdown—to be set up and managed with a single click.
• Optimized Search: Our search function, while connected, is still being refined for speed and accuracy. We’re working on making it so you can find that perfect song, no matter how obscure, in lightning-fast time.
• Singer Notifications: The final step to complete the connected experience is the notification function. We’re building the system that will send that crucial “You’re on deck!” message to singers, ensuring no one misses their moment in the spotlight.

Looking Ahead: The Road to a Live Test

With the heart of the platform now beating, we’re closer than ever to our most important goal: real-world testing. We will soon be deploying the application to the cloud and inviting a select group of KJs to run their actual shows on our system. This invaluable feedback will allow us to perfect the experience before we launch the full singer-side application.
